What is the Quest about?

The Lions Medical Research Personality Quest is one of the major fundraisers for the Lions Medical Research Foundation. Women over 18 years are encouraged to participate in the Quest. Why? – To be instrumental in making a difference to the health of both present and future generations. Medical research benefits everyone at some stage of their lives. Everyone!

This year the 2015 Personality Winner was chosen from eighteen wonderful entrants. The overall winner was Angela Gee sponsored by the Lions Club of Harrisville in Queensland.

The 2015 Highest Charity Fundraiser with an amazing record of fundraising $32,243.68. Amanda O’Reilly was sponsored by the Lions Club of Kyogle in NSW.

Both girls were estactic at their prize of a Hyundai motor vehicle each – sponsored by Scenic Motors Beaudesert.

Quest entrants each receive incentive gifts during their fundraising journey as a thank you for their hard work.

Entrants gain self-confidence, public speaking experience, knowledge in marketing and event management. They gain insights into effective communication, friendships and self esteem. All these benefit them in all areas of their lives.

Women interested in becoming an Entrant can contact the Quest office for information or can contact any local Lions Club to register their interest. You do not have to be a member of Lions to be an Entrant. Many Lions Clubs source their own Entrants as it is an important charter of the Lions organisation to work in the community to help others. The Quest is a wonderful way to do just this.

Entrants who become involved in the Quest can only gain by this worthwhile experience.

What do Entrants have to do?

Once a commitment is made, an Entrant will have committed for a maximum of twelve months to work with her supporting club to find avenues to raise money and also to have fun. An Entrant will be asked to attend some Lions meetings, social functions and other fundraising events. An Entrant at all times will have support from the Quest administration, her supporting Lions Club and a Liaison person appointed within the Club.

How to become an Entrant

If you are interested in becoming involved with the Quest as an entrant or sponsor please contact the Quest Administration office on (07) 3832 1688 where you may be affiliated with a suitable Lions Club who will be delighted to assist you with sponsorship. Each Lions Club will have an appointed Quest Liaison who will be the contact between you and your supporting club.
