Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lions Medical Research Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of its donors, supporters, employees and other supporters and parties involved in our activities. The Foundation values the trust of those we deal with and recognise that maintaining this trust requires that we be transparent and accountable in how we treat the personal information provided to us.
 
As part of our various activities we frequently gather and use personal information. We assure anyone who provides us with same that the information will be carefully protected and that any other use and/or dealing with the personal information is subject to express or implied consent.
 
Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lions Medical Research Foundation commitment to protect the personal information extends even to those towards whom we have no statutory obligation to provide such commitment. Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lions Medical Research Foundation has decided to voluntarily adhere to best practices to protect the personal information provided to us.

Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lions Medical Research Foundation may collect personal information such as: names, contact details, credit card and/or bank account information (for donation purposes), demographic information such as age and gender, and communication preferences for marketing purposes.

Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lions Medical Research Foundation collects personal information in order to service your account, obtain and correctly understand your instructions and provide you with relevant information and any other relevant materials.

Personal information given to the Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lions Medical Research Foundation is kept in confidence. Our personnel is only authorised to deal with such information in the way it was authorised to be dealt with and for the reason for which it was obtained. We have taken all necessary steps to protect private information and same will only be retained only for as long as it is required.  
 
Personal information is collected, used and disclosed only for purposes which a reasonable person would deem appropriate in light of the circumstances. We do not sell or rent personal information to any other party.
 
We further use necessary protocols to protect your privacy stored in our computer systems and when used on-line.
 
We also review our privacy practices on a regular basis for our various activities.

Subject to the exceptions provided by applicable privacy legislation, you have a right to know what personal information we hold about yourself and to whom that information may been disclosed to.
 
You also have a right to correct your personal information if you find that our information about yourself may not be accurate.
