Lions Medical Research Personality Quest

"The research of today could be the cure of tomorrow"

The Lions Medical Research Personality Quest is the main fundraiser for the Lions Medical Research Foundation. The Quest has a proud 45 year history with women focused on raising funds in their communities to ultimately save lives of others. Not only was this the entrants main focus but also each has benefited professionally and personally from their Quest experiences.

Entrants gain by being involved in personal development, improvements in their confidence and self esteem, public speaking, community support and importantly,  social awareness thus enhancing the opportunities in their chosen career paths and in their personal lives.

In 2010, the Quest,  formerly the Lions Miss Personality Quest, was rebranded to become the Lions Medical Research Personality Quest. It has moved on to a fresher and relevant format aligning it with current trends which will continue to evolve.

The main focus is to raise money so that the Lions Medical Research Foundation can continue to fund 4 medical researchers per year. Each medical researcher is funded for a 3 year term so the Quest works diligently to raise this money, see www.lionsmedicalresearchfoundation.org.au

Georgina McKenzie, 2011 Personality winner

"Undoubtedly, my association with Lions and the Quest has made me a more confident, enthusiastic, appreciative and knowledgable person. This Quest has been a life changing experience for me, and I am incredibly honoured to represent the Lions Medical Research Foundation for the coming year."

Amy Mulvihill, 2011 Charity winner

'The past year has given me more satisfaction and life experience then I thought possible. I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people at the Foundation and also in my community who have supported me throughout this year with my fundraising efforts. Being able to contribute (even in a small way) to the amazing ongoing work of medical researchers  has been a purely uplifting experience and I would strongly encourage people to get involved.'
